Indian benchmark indices remained firmly in positive territory during Tuesday’s afternoon session, with the Sensex gaining 542 points.
Sectoral buying remained broad-based, with private bank stocks rising 1.38% and the pharma index advancing 1.03%. Oil & gas and infrastructure stocks also gained around 1% each, supporting the overall market rally.
At 14:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 72863.61 up by 481.14 points or by 0.66 % and then NSE Nifty was at 22715.15 up by 159.4 points or by 0.71 %.
