The Sensex and Nifty ended higher on Monday, supported by improved investor sentiment after weaker-than-expected US jobs data lowered expectations of aggressive monetary tightening by the US Federal Reserve.
The softer labour-market data boosted risk appetite across emerging markets, providing support to Indian equities.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 72382.47 up by 472.77 points or by 0.66 % and then NSE Nifty was at 22555.75 up by 133.8 points or by 0.6 %.
