The Sensex and Nifty ended lower for the second consecutive session on Tuesday, weighed down by elevated crude oil prices amid uncertainty over the West Asia situation and continued foreign fund outflows.
The rise in oil prices and persistent selling pressure from foreign investors kept sentiment subdued through the session.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 72529.07 down by -242.65 points or by -0.33 % and then NSE Nifty was at 22716.2 down by -64.05 points or by -0.28 %.
