Indian stock markets tumbled on Monday, with the benchmark Sensex plunging 1,124 points to a six-month low, while the Nifty closed below the 22,800 mark.
Investor sentiment was hit by surging crude oil prices, geopolitical uncertainties and weak global market trends, triggering broad-based selling pressure across Dalal Street.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 72771.72 down by -1124.02 points or by -1.52 % and then NSE Nifty was at 22780.25 down by -360.25 points or by -1.56 %.
