Benchmark equity indices staged a strong recovery on Thursday, with the Sensex surging 628 points and the Nifty ending at 24,231.85, snapping its seven-session losing streak.
The rally was supported by gains across global markets as easing global bond yields revived investor risk appetite. Fresh inflows from foreign investors further boosted market sentiment and added to the optimism.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 77537.72 up by 628.04 points or by 0.82 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24231.85 up by 153.55 points or by 0.64 %.
