Indian benchmark indices are set for a positive start on June 25, supported by firm global cues. The GIFT Nifty was trading around 24,081.50 in early trade, indicating a higher opening for the domestic market.
In the previous session, Indian equity benchmarks staged a strong recovery, with the Nifty reclaiming the crucial 24,000 mark. The rally was driven by broad-based buying in IT, banking, and realty stocks, while improving sentiment was aided by easing concerns over potential disruptions to global oil supplies following signs of de-escalation in the Middle East.
On Wednesday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 76991.22 up by 790.54 points or by 1.04 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24021.65 up by 197.55 points or by 0.83 %.
On the global front, Most markets in the Asia-Pacific region were trading higher after Micron, an US-based semiconductor company, reported better-than-expected third-quarter results and guided to higher revenue in the current quarter. Japan’s Nikkei 225 and South Korea’s Kospi were trading 3.37 per cent and 4.89 per cent higher, respectively.
The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq 100 futures were trading 1.68 per cent and 0.48 per cent higher, respectively, in the Asian trade session.
Overnight, the Nasdaq Composite and the S&P 500 ended 0.43 per cent and 0.10 per cent down, respectively. The Dow Jones Industrial Average settled 0.35 per cent higher.

Gross equity purchased stood at Rs. 15985.66 Crore and gross debt purchased stood at Rs. 1061.00 Crore, while the gross equity sold stood at Rs. 15694.70 Crore and gross debt sold stood at Rs. 553.18 Crore. Therefore, the net investment of equity and debt reported were Rs. 290.96 Crore and Rs. 507.82
