Indian benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty witnessed a sharp decline on Monday, mirroring weakness in global equity markets and a fresh surge in crude oil prices amid escalating tensions in West Asia.
At 10:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 73737.37 down by -505.97 points or by -0.68 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23182.75 down by -183.95 points or by -0.79 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 73787.83 and intraday low of 73318.94 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23202 and intraday low of 23070.15
