Stock market benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty ended lower on Tuesday following late-session selling pressure in heavyweight stocks such as HDFC Bank and Reliance Industries Limited, while investor sentiment remained cautious after the rupee touched a fresh record low against the US dollar.
Market sentiment was also weighed down by elevated global crude oil prices amid continuing geopolitical tensions and uncertainty in West Asia.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 75200.85 down by -114.19 points or by -0.15 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23618 down by -31.95 points or by -0.14 %.
