Indian benchmark indices, the BSE Sensex and Nifty 50, are expected to open on a subdued note on May 8, tracking weak cues from GIFT Nifty, which was trading lower near the 24,294 mark in early trade.
On Thursday, domestic markets ended marginally in the red after a volatile trading session. However, the Nifty managed to hold above the 24,330 level, supported by optimism around easing geopolitical tensions amid reports of a possible US-Iran peace agreement
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 77844.52 down by -114 points or by -0.15 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24326.65 down by -4.3 points or by -0.02 %.
On the global front, Asia-Pacific markets declined in early trade on Friday as tensions increased upon news of the US and Iran exchanging fire at the Strait of Hormuz. The Nikkei 225 and the Kospi were trading 0.63 per cent and 0.85 per cent down, respectively.
Overnight, the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average ended 0.63 per cent and 0.38 per cent down, respectively. The Nasdaq Composite settled 0.13 per cent lower as investors continued to grapple with conflicting signals from the US and Iran.

Therefore, the net investment of equity and debt reported were Rs. -5740.26 Crore and Rs. -465.01
