Indian stock markets extended losses for a third consecutive session on Wednesday, opening on a weak note. Out of the 30 Sensex constituents, 18 were trading in the red, with major drags coming from HDFC Bank (down 1.3%), Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance, Bharti Airtel, Maruti Suzuki, Hindustan Unilever, NTPC, UltraTech Cement, Sun Pharma, Larsen & Toubro, and Mahindra & Mahindra.
At 9:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 84874.07 down by -189.27 points or by -0.22 % and then NSE Nifty was at 26120.35 down by -58.35 points or by -0.22 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 85039.48 and intraday low of 84617.49 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 26166 and intraday low of 26104.3
