Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty continued to trade lower on Tuesday, weighed down by heavy selling in blue-chip stocks such as Reliance Industries and HDFC Bank.
Market sentiment was further dampened by concerns over a fresh warning from the United States to raise tariffs on India, adding to risk aversion among investors.
At 10:50 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 85203.18 down by -236.44 points or by -0.28 % and then NSE Nifty was at 26212.1 down by -38.2 points or by -0.15 %.
