Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty continued to trade lower on Thursday as investor sentiment weakened following the imposition of an additional 25% tariff by US President Donald Trump on India’s purchases of Russian oil. Persistent foreign fund outflows further pressured the market.
At 10:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 80436.72 down by -349.82 points or by -0.43 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24573.95 down by -138.1 points or by -0.56 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 80775.71 and intraday low of 80093.52 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24702.65 and intraday low of 24507.2
