Indian benchmark indices ended in the red on Tuesday, with the Sensex slipping 368 points and the Nifty closing at 24,487, weighed down by losses in Financial, FMCG, and Realty stocks.
On the BSE, Maruti Suzuki, Tech Mahindra and Mahindra & Mahindra were the top gainers while Bajaj Finance, Trent and Hindustan Unilever were among the major laggards.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 80235.59 down by -368.49 points or by -0.46 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24487.4 down by -97.65 points or by -0.4 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 80997.67 and intraday low of 80164.36 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24702.6 and intraday low of 24465.65
