Indian benchmarks are expected to start the day on flat to slightly lower on Monday amid renewed concerns about U.S. President Donald Trump's escalating trade battles.
Meanwhile Asian markets were mixed this morning after the release of Chinese trade data.
Overseas, US markets closed lower on Friday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined by 279.13 points, or 0.63 per cent, to close at 44,371.51. The S&P 500 fell 0.33 per cent to 6,259.75, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 0.22 per cent to settle at 20,585.53, ending the week on a negative note.
While European stocks closed lower on Friday as renewed trade tensions rattled investor confidence. The pan European STOXX 600 declined 1 percent.

The FIIs on 11/07/2025 stood as net buyer in equity and debt. Gross equity purchased stood at Rs. 12025.06 Crore and gross debt purchased stood at Rs. 650.54 Crore, while the gross equity sold stood at Rs. 11185.31 Crore and gross debt sold stood at Rs. 314.30 Crore. Therefore, the net investment of equity and debt reported were Rs. 839.75 Crore and Rs. 336.24.
