Indian benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty 50, are expected to open on a flat note on June 17, taking cues from GIFT Nifty, which was trading around 24,987.50 earlier this morning.

On Monday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 81796.15 up by 677.55 points or by 0.84 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24946.5 up by 227.9 points or by 0.92 %.
On the global front, Asian markets were trading firm on Tuesday, as investors hope the Israel-Iran conflict might remain contained, with Tehran reportedly signaling readiness to negotiate.
Nikkei edged up 0.35 per cent, while the broader Topix index was flat with a positive bias. The Kospi rose 1.40 per cent, and ASX 200 was trading flat.
