Indian stock markets rallied sharply on Monday, June 16, defying escalating tensions in West Asia. This surge came even as commodity prices, particularly crude oil, continued to climb following attacks by Israel and Iran on nuclear sites and oil infrastructure.
At 12:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 81807.53 up by 688.93 points or by 0.85 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24893 up by 174.4 points or by 0.71 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 81832.66 and intraday low of 81012.31 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24930.65 and intraday low of 24703.6
