Indian equity benchmark indices closed lower on Thursday amid rising geopolitical tensions between India and Pakistan. The decline followed a statement from the Ministry of Defence confirming that, under Operation Sindoor, Indian forces had targeted and neutralised air defence radars and related systems at multiple locations in Pakistan.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 80334.81 down by -411.97 points or by -0.51 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24273.8 down by -140.6 points or by -0.58 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 80927.99 and intraday low of 79987.61 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24447.25 and intraday low of 24150.2
