Indian benchmarks continued to trade in green during the noon trading session on Wednesday, supported by M & M, Wipro, Tech M, Axis Bank, HCL Tech, HDFC Bank, Infosys, Airtel, TCS, ICICI Bank, and Tata Steel. All sectoral indices are trading in the green except realty.
Overseas, Australian shares are gaining for the second straight session on Wednesday, with the benchmark S&P/ASX 200 staying above the 7,000 mark, The Japanese stock market is slightly higher after being in the red most of the morning session on Wednesday, recouping some of losses in the previous two sessions.
Meanwhile, European stock markets are seen opening on a weak note on Wednesday as worries about inflation as well as the economic situation in China eclipse the relief triggered by dovish comments from Fed officials.
At 14:29 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 66827.6 up by 653.4 points or by 0.99 % and then NSE Nifty was at 20063.55 up by 173.85 points or by 0.87 %.
The BSE Sensex touched intraday high of 66830.34 and intraday low of 66374.52 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 20075.65 and intraday low of 19956.30.
The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1620.00,+3.45%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1052.85,+3.18%), Wipro Ltd. (Rs. 406.15,+2.32%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 709.95,+1.77%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1222.35,+1.59%), among others.
On the other side, the top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 24040.00,-0.70%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3436.65,-0.16%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 7118.70,-0.10%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1653.00,-0.09%), among others.
Sectorally Auto index was at 39798.56 up by 554.98 points or by 1.41%. Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1620.00,+3.45%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (Rs. 3743.25,+3.34%), Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd.
