Exide Industries Limited and Germany-based ExCom Energy Solutions GmbH have entered into a long-term strategic cooperation agreement to expand their industrial battery and energy storage systems business across the European Economic Area (EEA).
Signed on September 15, 2026, the agreement establishes commercial and technical collaboration between the two companies. ExCom GmbH will serve as the central commercial and technical interface for customers in the region, handling customer development, distribution, technical project support and after-sales coordination. Products under the partnership will be marketed and sold under the ExCom brand.
The cooperation will initially focus on traction and motive-power batteries for material-handling equipment, logistics and industrial mobility applications, along with stationary battery systems for industrial, infrastructure and energy storage uses.
Exide India will contribute its manufacturing capabilities, technology portfolio and expertise in industrial batteries, while ExCom will provide market access, application engineering and local customer support across the EEA.
The companies also plan to explore advanced chemistry battery solutions in the future, expanding the partnership beyond lead-acid technologies into next-generation industrial energy storage applications.
