OLX India announced that registrations for its Elite Buyer program crossed 80,000 in May 2026, marking a significant milestone in its efforts to create a more trusted and efficient marketplace for used products.
The Elite Buyer program is aimed at attracting serious, high-intent buyers by offering enhanced discovery tools, better engagement opportunities, and a smoother purchasing experience across categories. The initiative has already begun contributing to the company's revenue growth and is expected to become an important driver of long-term business expansion.
Commenting on the achievement, Varun Sanghi said the program has helped improve buyer quality and engagement on the platform, while also supporting stronger revenue growth.
Looking ahead, OLX India plans to launch Elite Buyer AI in the coming quarter. The new offering will feature AI-powered matchmaking, pricing guidance, and product condition assessment tools designed to help buyers discover relevant listings and make more informed purchase decisions.
The company is also developing a hyperlocal seller service model that aims to connect sellers with serious nearby buyers more quickly, creating a "quick-commerce-like" experience for used products. Management believes that combining Elite Buyer, AI-driven discovery, and hyperlocal services can significantly improve liquidity, trust, and transaction speed on the platform.
