Avio Smart Market Stack Ltd (formerly Bartronics India) has entered into a strategic MoU with US-based Aquasafra Holdings Inc. and Waterfield Farms Inc. to explore the development of a technology-driven aquaculture and fisheries ecosystem.
The collaboration will combine ASMS’s extensive rural distribution network across 5,000+ villages with Aquasafra’s expertise in advanced tilapia genetics, hatchery systems, and aquaculture technologies.
The partnership aims to build scalable and commercially viable aquaculture models focused on improving productivity, survival rates, and supply chain efficiency, while creating new livelihood opportunities in rural and peri-urban areas.
As part of the initiative, the companies will evaluate setting up region-specific hatcheries, deploying modern aquaculture and aquaponics systems, and undertaking farmer training and capacity-building programs.
The move aligns with ASMS’s broader strategy to expand into high-value agri-tech segments such as fisheries, water resource management, and climate-resilient rural enterprises.
