TeamLease Services Ltd, one of India’s largest staffing companies, has announced a major leadership transition as part of its long-term succession and governance strategy.
The Board of Directors has appointed Suparna Mitra as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective February 2, 2026. She will succeed Ashok Reddy, who has led the company as MD & CEO.
As part of the transition, co-founder Ashok Reddy will assume the role of Executive Vice Chairman, where he will work closely with Mitra to ensure a smooth handover and support long-term strategy and expansion initiatives. Co-founder Manish Sabharwal will step down from his executive responsibilities but will continue as a Non-Executive, Non-Independent Director. Narayan Ramachandran will remain Chairman.
Commenting on the transition, Reddy said, “This is the logical next step for Manish and me. Our executive roles were always distinct from our board and shareholder responsibilities. The next orbit for TeamLease — higher margins, faster growth and deeper institutionalisation — will benefit from leadership instincts that are fresh and different from ours. Suparna brings a powerful blend of strategic thinking, consumer insight and technology orientation that will accelerate TeamLease’s mission of putting India to work.”
