Copper prices climbed 1.99% to Rs 995.65 per kg on Monday, supported by robust spot demand and increased buying activity in the futures market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), November copper contracts advanced by Rs 19.40 to Rs 995.65 per kg, with a turnover of 2,960 lots.
Analysts said the uptick was driven by fresh positions from traders amid improving physical market demand.
