Crude oil prices rose Rs 60 to Rs 5,298 per barrel on Monday, supported by strong spot demand and renewed buying activity in the futures market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), November delivery contracts gained Rs 60 (1.15%) to trade at Rs 5,298 per barrel across 9,454 lots.
According to analysts, fresh positions built up by participants amid steady physical demand kept crude prices elevated in futures trade.
