Aluminium prices rose Rs 1.70 to Rs 266.15 per kg on Monday as speculators built fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), November aluminium contracts gained Rs 1.70 (0.64%) to Rs 266.15 per kg, with a turnover of 764 lots.
According to analysts, renewed buying interest and steady demand from consuming industries lent support to aluminium prices in the futures trade.
