State-run mining giant NMDC on Tuesday announced a price cut for its iron ore products, reducing the rate of lump ore by Rs 600 per tonne and fines by ?500 per tonne, with immediate effect.
As per the latest pricing, lump ore is now fixed at ?5,700 per tonne, while fines are priced at Rs 4,850 per tonne, the company stated in a regulatory filing.
Lump ore, which is a high-grade variant, contains around 65.5% iron, whereas fines are considered lower-grade, with iron content of 64% or less.
